Emma & Ethan Sock Monkeys

Emma & Ethan Sock Monkeys

My daughter named them and decorated Emma…

They were the first ever monkeys that I made…

“Hey You 2! Stop Monkeying Around!”

What inspired this creation?

I jumped on the bandwagon: the sock monkey craze.  I became weak and couldn’t resist.  I wanted to know what all the fuss was about.  They are cute and easy and cheap to make, all structured from 2 little socks.

Materials Used?

I used some fluffy, colorful socks purchased from the Dollar Tree, a needle and thread, and poly-fill stuffing and 2 buttons for eyes, along with a pair of scissors.

How’d you do it?

I used a patten from the internet; if you type in “sock monkey instructions images” into the Google search engine, you can get plenty of patterns.  One sock is utilized for the head, legs and torso.  The other sock is used for ears, tail, arms, ears and mouth/nose.

Purpose?

This craft is for entertainment purposes only, but quite fun and easy to make.  It makes a great gift for a loved one, and you can be as creative as you’d like to be.  Check out these fun and awesome sock monkey creations at the following links:
